On October 9, 2025, the Shanghai Administration released a notice emphasizing the need to strengthen cosmetic quality supervision and administration, regulate the market, and ensure consumer safety. They conducted a comprehensive inspection of cosmetic manufacturing and distribution enterprises, identifying 15 batches of non-compliant products, including body wash, hair dye cream, and styling spray.
