Attention commuters! From November 29th to December 8th, 2025, the East-West Line will undergo significant adjustments to facilitate track connections and a new platform at Tanah Merah MRT station. During this period, train services between Bedok and Tampines stations, as well as between Tanah Merah and Expo stations, will be disrupted. The Simei and Tanah Merah MRT stations will be closed, causing a temporary halt in services between these stations. To navigate this, commuters can utilize the provided shuttle bus services: Shuttle 7, operating between Bedok and Tampines stations every 3 to 5 minutes, and Shuttle 8, running between Bedok and Expo stations approximately every 10 minutes. For detailed information on these shuttle services, visit the provided link. Additionally, due to the construction, train frequencies will be reduced, and journey times may extend by up to 30 minutes. It's crucial to plan your trips in advance and stay updated through the LTA's MyTransport.SG app and social media channels. SMRT staff will be available at affected stations to assist commuters. For those passing through the affected stations, consider alternative MRT routes to minimize travel time. After the works are completed, the eastbound East-West Line service will commence from a new Platform A at Tanah Merah station on December 9th, 2025. Commuters heading eastbound to Pasir Ris from Tanah Merah must board trains from Platform A, and transfers between Platform A and the shuttle train to/from Changi Airport will be made via the station concourse. Westbound commuters from Tanah Merah will not be impacted. Please refer to Figure 1 for the updated platform configuration. We are committed to minimizing disruptions and will provide timely updates if further adjustments are necessary. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this period of service adjustments.
