The CEO of Alleima, Göran Björkman, emphasized the importance of this expansion in meeting the growing demand within the nuclear segment. Björkman also mentioned that Alleima has already delivered some contracts for small modular reactors (SMRs) and is involved in research and development with several advanced modular reactor developers.

Alleima, previously known as Sandvik Materials Technology, has been involved in the nuclear energy supply chain for more than 60 years. In addition to steam generator tubes, the company also supplies nuclear fuel cladding tubes and other nuclear-grade components.
Since 1964, Alleima has supplied tube bundles to more than 400 steam generators in over 20 countries and has provided more than 60,000,000 meters of nuclear fuel tubes to over 100 reactors.
